TrainHeroic coach plans in 2026 run from $9.99/month for one athlete to $99.99/month for 100, with assistant coaches at $9.99/month and a Marketplace fee that depends on who brought the sale.

All prices in USD, excluding tax, checked on 6 November 2026 on the TrainHeroic coach page (the pricing block lives at that anchor; trainheroic.com/pricing redirects there) and on the TrainHeroic help articles listed under Sources. TrainHeroic does not publish annual prices for these coach plans. Software prices change, so read the coach page before you subscribe.

TrainHeroic is built for strength coaches and teams

TrainHeroic is strongest when you write strength and conditioning for athletes who train in a group, want a leaderboard, and live in a training-first app. The coach page sells 1:1 calendars and teams in the same account, video review, real-time chat, a custom exercise library, and a logo on the shared TrainHeroic app. The Marketplace teams article adds leaderboards and TH Chat as the engagement tools on a team. That is the product to beat on programming and team culture. The cost questions start once you count seats, assistant coaches, and any Marketplace cut.

TrainHeroic coach plans (checked 6 November 2026)

The coach page lists one price per month for each athlete cap. It does not list an annual price. You pay extra for assistant coaches on every row: the page says $9.99/month, and the upgrade article says that is per coach, on top of the plan. The coach-plan versus Marketplace article says the coach plan covers the $1/month app fee per attached athlete, so you do not add that $1 again on top of the table.

The published tool set, listed once beside the plans rather than split by tier, is 1:1 and team programming, video review, a custom exercise library, real-time chat, client tracking, invite-based onboarding, your logo plus custom exercise demos on the TrainHeroic app, and the option to sell in the Marketplace. Leaderboards are named in the Marketplace teams article, not as a paid add-on.

A prospective-coach FAQ still tells coaches with more than 200 athletes to email enterprise@trainheroic.com. The coach page we checked on 6 November 2026 was last modified on 30 October 2026. It publishes the 250, 500, 750, and 1,000 tiers above and reserves Contact Us for more than 1,000. Use the page for the price. Use the FAQ for the enterprise address.

What changes the bill after you pick a tier

  • New accounts get a 14-day trial with no credit card. You can add assistant coaches during the trial. Each one costs $9.99/month after you upgrade the coach account.
  • Passing the athlete cap upgrades the plan in that billing cycle, with a prorated charge for the rest of the cycle. Dropping athletes does not drop the plan. You downgrade it yourself under Billing Info, and the lower price shows on the next bill date.
  • TrainHeroic does not refund coach plans. Archiving athletes can make a lower tier selectable again.
  • Marketplace athletes do not count toward the coach plan. You can buy seats for some athletes and sell subscriptions to others.

Going from 5 to 6 attached athletes moves you from $17.99 to $34.99 (+$17.00/month). The later steps are 15 to 16 (+$10.00, to $44.99), 25 to 26 (+$15.00, to $59.99), 35 to 36 (+$15.00, to $74.99), 50 to 51 (+$25.00, to $99.99), and 100 to 101 (+$60.00, to $159.99).

What you pay per athlete at 1, 5, 15, 25, 50, and 100

Per-athlete cost below is the plan price divided by that athlete count, rounded to the nearest cent. The unrounded figures are 17.99 / 5 = 3.598, 34.99 / 15 = 2.3327, 44.99 / 25 = 1.7996, 74.99 / 50 = 1.4998, and 99.99 / 100 = 0.9999.

AthletesPlan you buyMonthly pricePrice per athlete
11 Athlete$9.99$9.99
5Up to 5$17.99$3.60
15Up to 15$34.99$2.33
25Up to 25$44.99$1.80
50Up to 50$74.99$1.50
100Up to 100$99.99$1.00

One assistant coach on the 5-athlete plan adds $9.99, so the bill is $27.98. Five assistant coaches on the 50-athlete plan add 5 x $9.99 = $49.95, so the bill is $124.94. Seven assistant coaches on the 100-athlete plan add 7 x $9.99 = $69.93, so the bill is $169.92. Those assistant lines are the published per-coach fee. They are not a second athlete seat.

Marketplace fees, separate from 1:1 seats

Selling in the Marketplace is a different bill from buying seats. You can sell Teams (a monthly or annual subscription with a live calendar, leaderboards, and group chat) and Programs (a one-time purchase of a fixed block, with lifetime access for the athlete). Listing a team or program has no extra switch-on fee. Marketplace athletes do not use a prepaid seat. You still buy a Coach Plan at $9.99/month.

TrainHeroic's help centre publishes two minimum-price lines, and they do not match. The Teams versus Programs article (updated 16 May 2025) sets the Team minimum at $5/month and $20/year, and the Program minimum at $15. The Marketplace page setup article (updated 15 April 2025) still says the minimum price is $10/month and $100/year. Confirm the floor in the listing form before you publish a price. Marketplace prices are in US dollars.

The platform cut depends on who brought the buyer. Both the seller terms and the payout article agree on Marketplace Match: TrainHeroic takes 30% of the purchase price, and you keep 70% less the bank's card fee of 2.9% + $0.30. A sale through your own attribution link costs less, and the two articles do not use the same words for that fee. The payout article (updated 12 February 2026) says $1 per transaction plus 2.9% + $0.30 for team subscriptions you drove yourself. The seller terms (updated 14 April 2025) say $1/month per subscription plus the same bank fee. On a monthly renewal those lines can describe the same charge. On an annual team subscription they may not. The worked figures below use the later payout wording, and they do not turn $1 into twelve charges on an annual plan.

Program sales are $1 per month of programme length, plus a one-time bank fee. TrainHeroic's own examples are a 4-week program at $1 plus bank fees, and an 8-week program at $2 plus bank fees.

Payouts go out by PayPal on the 15th for the prior month. The PayPal email has to be on the organisation page by the 5th. Refunds on Marketplace sales are at TrainHeroic's discretion.

Marketplace cut versus Kahunas at 0% commission

Disclosure: Kahunas is our product. The table uses a $200/month athlete package as a worked example, the same package our TrueCoach and CoachRx posts use. It is not a TrainHeroic price. Standard card fees (2.9% + $0.30 on the US rate both TrainHeroic and Stripe publish) sit outside every column. A $200 charge at that rate is $6.10, so 25 athletes cost $152.50 in card fees whether the 2.9% + $0.30 line is TrainHeroic's bank fee or Stripe on Kahunas. Do not read the totals as a full take-home figure.

Athletes at $200/monthTrainHeroic, your link ($9.99 + $1 per transaction)TrainHeroic Match ($9.99 + 30% of revenue)Kahunas tier-gated seat pricing
5$14.99$309.99$25.00
25$34.99$1,509.99$62.50
50$59.99$3,009.99$100.00
100$109.99$6,009.99$150.00

Each Match cell is 30% of that row's revenue plus the $9.99 coach plan. At 5 athletes that is 0.30 x $1,000 + $9.99 = $309.99. At 25, 50, and 100 athletes the same addition gives $1,509.99, $3,009.99, and $6,009.99.

On your own Stripe or PayPal account, Kahunas takes 0% commission. You still pay Stripe or PayPal. That is the fair comparison with Match, where TrainHeroic's 30% is a platform cut on top of the bank fee. It is a poor comparison with a self-driven Marketplace sale: at these four counts the $9.99 plan plus $1 per transaction is less than the Kahunas seat bill, before card fees on either side.

Kahunas payments, workouts, and the client web app are on every paid seat from the 3-seat minimum of $15/month. The Kahunas column above is that seat quote for the athlete count, with no team members added. Branding (logo and colours on the client app) starts at 200 seats, so none of these rows include it. TrainHeroic's coach page includes a logo on the shared TrainHeroic app at every published tier.

TrainHeroic vs Trainerize vs Kahunas

This comparison is month-to-month software for a 1:1 roster you bill outside TrainHeroic, so the TrainHeroic column is the coach plan with no assistant coaches and no Marketplace cut. The Trainerize column matches the live Trainerize pricing post: the plan that fits, plus the $10/month Stripe payments add-on and Advanced Nutrition ($20/month on Pro 5 and Pro 15, $45/month from Pro 30). At 100 athletes, Studio Plus at $275 includes those add-ons, so the row uses Studio Plus rather than Pro 100 plus $55 of add-ons. Standard Stripe card fees sit outside every column. The sums are not an all-in client-payment total.

AthletesTrainHeroic coach planTrainerize (plan + Stripe + Advanced Nutrition)Kahunas tier-gated seat pricing
5$17.99 (Up to 5)$55 (Pro 5 $25 + $10 + $20)$25.00
25$44.99 (Up to 25)$134 (Pro 30 $79 + $10 + $45)$62.50
50$74.99 (Up to 50)$190 (Pro 50 $135 + $10 + $45)$100.00
100$99.99 (Up to 100)$275 (Studio Plus, add-ons included)$150.00

25 athletes do not fit Trainerize Pro 15 (15 coaching seats, $50). The row uses Pro 30, the same $134 the Trainerize post uses for a 30-client coach with Stripe and Advanced Nutrition.

TrainHeroic's coach page includes adding your logo on the shared TrainHeroic app at every tier in the table. Kahunas logo and colour branding starts at 200 seats ($200/month), so that exclusion applies to every Kahunas row here. Trainerize's $55, $134, and $190 figures do not include the $169 Pro branded-app add-on. Studio Plus at 100 athletes does include a Studio branded app with its own store listing.

Kahunas tier notes, from the seat quote for that row:

  • 5 athletes: workouts, nutrition, check-ins, labs, payments at 0% Kahunas commission, and the client web app are in. Recipes and automations start at 25 seats. Team seats start at 50. Communities, Education, and Challenges start at 100. Branding starts at 200.
  • 25 athletes: recipes and automations are in at the 25-seat price of $62.50. Team seats, Communities, Education, Challenges, and branding are not.
  • 50 athletes: team seats, Crew, and exercise analysis are in. Communities, Education, Challenges, and branding are not. A non-archived team member takes a seat from the same pool as clients, and the owner is not a seat. Five assistant coaches on 50 clients is 55 seats at $2.00, $110/month, against TrainHeroic at $74.99 + $49.95 = $124.94.
  • 100 athletes: Communities, Education, and Challenges are in. Branding is not. Seven team members on 100 clients is 107 seats at $1.50, $160.50/month, against TrainHeroic at $99.99 + $69.93 = $169.92.

15 clients on Kahunas do not appear in the table. quoteSeats(15) bills the 25-seat floor, $62.50/month, because 25 seats at $2.50 costs less than 15 seats at $5. That is a point price for 15 clients, not a cap on a range.

Annual billing on Kahunas takes 20% off the monthly seat quote: $20/month equivalent at 5 clients ($240/year), $50 at 25 ($600/year), $80 at 50 ($960/year), and $120 at 100 ($1,440/year). TrainHeroic does not publish an annual coach-plan price to set beside those figures.

Where TrainHeroic is the better pick

Disclosure: Kahunas is our product.

Pick TrainHeroic if you are a strength coach who wants athlete leaderboards, a marketplace for teams and fixed programs, and a training-first app, and you do not need meal planning, labs, or communities. The seat plans are the lower software bill at 5, 25, 50, and 100 attached athletes when you bill outside the app and you are not paying the 30% Match fee. A logo on the shared app is on the published feature list from the first paid tier, which Kahunas holds until 200 seats.

Kahunas limits, stated as limits:

  • No athlete marketplace, and no leaderboard product aimed at team sport rosters.
  • Tier gates: recipes and automations at 25 seats, team seats at 50, Communities, Education, and Challenges at 100, branded app logo and colours at 200.
  • No permanent free tier. New coaches get a 14-day trial and a 3-month money-back guarantee, then a 3-seat minimum of $15/month.
  • Below 50 seats you cannot add assistant coach logins. A 5-athlete coach who needs one assistant pays TrainHeroic $27.98. On Kahunas that assistant needs a 50-seat plan at $100/month.

Kahunas is the cheaper fit in three cases this page can price. First, Marketplace Match at 30% of a $200 package, plus the $9.99 coach plan, costs more than the Kahunas seat quote at 5, 25, 50, and 100 athletes ($309.99 against $25 at 5 athletes). Second, Trainerize with Stripe and Advanced Nutrition costs more at those four counts ($55, $134, $190, $275 against $25, $62.50, $100, $150). Third, a staff-heavy roster at 50 athletes plus 5 assistants, or 100 plus 7, crosses the TrainHeroic assistant line above the Kahunas seat quote, and those Kahunas rows include nutrition and 0% commission that the TrainHeroic seat plan does not sell.

The shared TrainHeroic app

Athletes on TrainHeroic download the TrainHeroic app from the App Store and Google Play. A known store app does a specific job well: the athlete already trusts the listing, leaderboards and workout logging sit in a native app, and a team can train in the same place whether the session is on the gym floor or at home. Before we built the current Kahunas client app, we published over 10,000 white-label coaching apps to the App Store and Google Play, and a store listing under a brand athletes recognise is a real asset for a strength gym.

TrainHeroic's "make it your own" line is a logo and custom exercise demos inside that shared app, not a separate store listing in your studio's name. Kahunas installs as a client web app from your link. Logo, colours, and your own web address start at 200 seats.

FAQ

How much does TrainHeroic cost per month in 2026?

On the coach page checked 6 November 2026, the 1-athlete plan is $9.99/month, Up to 5 is $17.99, Up to 15 is $34.99, Up to 25 is $44.99, Up to 35 is $59.99, Up to 50 is $74.99, Up to 100 is $99.99, Up to 250 is $159.99, Up to 500 is $199.99, Up to 750 is $299.99, and Up to 1,000 is $399.99. More than 1,000 is Contact Us. TrainHeroic does not publish an annual price for these plans. Each assistant coach adds $9.99/month.

Does TrainHeroic charge for assistant coaches?

Yes. The coach page and the coach-plan help article both price assistant coaches at $9.99/month per coach, on top of the athlete plan. You can add them during the 14-day trial. The fee starts once you upgrade the coach account. The head coach is the account owner. An assistant does not get billing, coach-plan changes, adding or removing other assistants, or Marketplace payouts. That split is in TrainHeroic's head coach versus assistant coach article.

What does the TrainHeroic Marketplace take from a sale?

If TrainHeroic matches the buyer, the fee is 30% of the purchase price plus a bank fee of 2.9% + $0.30, and you keep 70% less that bank fee. If the sale comes through your attribution link, the later payout article charges $1 per team transaction plus 2.9% + $0.30, while the earlier seller-terms article says $1/month per subscription plus the same bank fee. Program sales are $1 per month of programme length plus a one-time bank fee. You still pay $9.99/month for the coach plan. Marketplace athletes do not count toward your seat cap.

How does TrainHeroic compare with Trainerize?

At 5, 25, 50, and 100 athletes, the TrainHeroic coach plan ($17.99, $44.99, $74.99, $99.99) is less than Trainerize with the Stripe payments add-on and Advanced Nutrition ($55, $134, $190, and $275 on Studio Plus). Trainerize publishes a free plan for 1 client, a 30-day trial, and a wider booking and nutrition add-on list. TrainHeroic publishes team leaderboards and a Marketplace. Read the Trainerize pricing breakdown for the add-on rules behind those four figures.

What are the TrainHeroic alternatives if you also coach nutrition?

TrainHeroic does not publish a meal planner or a food database on the coach page. If you prescribe meals, log food, or read lab reports in the same app as the workouts, compare Kahunas (1.5 million foods, barcode scanning, and labs on every paid seat, 0% commission on your Stripe or PayPal) with Everfit and Trainerize. Kahunas has no athlete marketplace. Everfit and Trainerize price nutrition as an add-on or a higher plan. The figures in those posts were checked on their own dates, not restated as new vendor checks here.

Does TrainHeroic have a free plan or a free trial?

TrainHeroic publishes a 14-day trial with no credit card, and no permanent free coach plan. The subscription is month to month, with no minimum contract. You can cancel and the account closes at the end of the billing cycle. TrainHeroic does not refund unused coach-plan time.

Is TrainHeroic cheaper than Kahunas?

On the published coach plan, with no assistants and no Marketplace cut, yes at 5, 25, 50, and 100 athletes: $17.99 against $25, $44.99 against $62.50, $74.99 against $100, and $99.99 against $150. Kahunas costs less when you would pay TrainHeroic's 30% Match fee, when you compare with Trainerize plus Stripe and Advanced Nutrition, or when assistant coaches push a 50-athlete or 100-athlete TrainHeroic bill above the Kahunas seat quote. Kahunas is our product, and branding starts at 200 seats.
