The old way

Form checks shouldn't mean scrubbing through videos in WhatsApp.

A client sends a deadlift video. You pause, rewind and squint at a phone-sized clip to catch the bottom of each rep, then type out what you saw. A week later the video is buried in the chat, and neither of you can find the rep you meant.

  • Videos everywhere but your appLifting videos arrive by WhatsApp, Instagram and email, with no note of the workout or set they came from.
  • Hunting for the right frameFinding the bottom of each rep means pausing, rewinding and guessing at angles on a small screen.
  • Feedback that's hard to point atDescribing what happened on rep four takes longer than seeing it, and your client still has to find the moment you mean.
The Kahunas way

Every form check, broken down rep by rep. You still make the call.

Sent from the workoutClients choose Record form check on the exercise and upload their video. It arrives with the exercise and workout attached.
Joints and angles on the videoShow the skeleton, joint angles and joint path over the original recording, and step through it a frame at a time.
Every rep timedThe rep detector counts reps and shows cadence, plus the down and up time, range and start-to-turn angles of each one.
Reply in one placeSend text, attachments, a voice note or a screen recording. It lands in their coaching conversation, linked to the video.

Every rep timed, measured and laid out.

Pick a joint and the rep detector plots its angle across the whole video, with each rep's down and up phases shaded. Every rep gets a card with its timing and range, and you can loop any rep to watch it again.

  • Rep count, cadence and working-set times
  • Down, up, range and start-to-turn for every rep
  • Loop a rep at 0.25×, 0.5× or 1×

The original video stays the reference.

Overlays sit on top of your client's own recording, with a reading for each side of the body. Beside it, an estimated 3D body replays the same movement. Drag to orbit it, or jump to the front, ¾, side or back.

  • Solid landmarks are detected, hollow ones are low confidence
  • Readings for the near and far side
  • Step a frame at a time to find the moment

How it works. From their set to your reply.

  1. 1They upload a form checkClients record the set on their phone, then choose Record form check on the exercise in their workout. They can finish the workout while it uploads.
  2. 2Kahunas analyses itIt tracks their joints and reps in the background. You can watch the original video while the analysis runs.
  3. 3You review and replyStep through the reps, then reply with text, a voice note or a screen recording, or mark it reviewed.

Exercise analysis is an estimate made from a video. It doesn't score technique or give coaching advice, so check it against the original and make the call yourself.

Questions coaches ask. Answered.

No. Exercise analysis is an estimate made from a video. It doesn't score technique, diagnose injuries or give coaching advice. Camera movement, hidden joints and where the floor sits all affect it, so the original video stays your reference and you make the call.

Clients on the new Kahunas app, not the legacy iOS and Android store apps. It's in beta: the business owner turns on Beta in Settings, then sets Exercise Review in Settings → General to Selected clients or All clients, with exclusions if needed.

Up to 2 minutes and 500 MiB, with one video per exercise in a workout. Clients can finish their workout while the video uploads, and you can upload a video for a client yourself from their Exercise Review.

A skeleton and 2D joint angles over the original video, the joint path where available, and an estimated 3D body you can orbit. The rep detector adds the rep count, cadence and working-set times, plus each rep's down and up time, range and start-to-turn angles.

Clients can add a video to any exercise in their workout. How well the analysis follows it depends on the movement and how it was filmed, and support for more exercises grows during the beta. If no reps are detected, you can still step through the video, so ask clients to keep their whole body in view and the camera steady.

Exercise analysis is included from 50 seats and uses AI credits based on the length of each video. Every Kahunas business gets 250 free AI credits a month, and you can add a credit pack if you need more.

Press Reply to send text, attachments, a voice note or a screen recording. It lands in your client's coaching conversation with a link to their original video, and the review moves to Reviewed. You can also mark it reviewed without replying, or put it back in your queue.
