1 About This List
Kahunas FZE uses the sub-processors listed below to provide, operate, secure, and improve the Kahunas Platform and Services. This list tells customers which third parties may process customer or end-user data, the category of service each provides, the region in which each operates where known, and the categories of data each may process.
Each sub-processor operates under a data processing agreement and meets Kahunas' data protection standards. Kahunas maintains a current sub-processor register and notifies affected customers of material changes in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Business User Terms.
Wearable and content integrations a user chooses to connect (for example Apple Health, Google Fit, Garmin, Fitbit, Oura, Polar, Whoop, YouTube, Vimeo) are third-party services governed by their own terms. They are authorised directly by the user and are not sub-processors engaged by Kahunas; they are therefore not listed below.

3 Adding or Removing a Sub-Processor
Kahunas follows a defined process when engaging a new sub-processor or removing an existing one, so that the register stays accurate and customers are notified where required.
- Assess — The document owner reviews the proposed vendor's security and data protection posture, confirms a data processing agreement is in place, and records the service purpose, data categories, and processing region.
- Approve — The change is approved by the document owner before the vendor is engaged.
- Update register — The vendor entry is added to or removed from this list, the version number is incremented, and the effective date is updated.
- Notify customers — Affected customers are notified of material changes via email, in-app notification, or website notice, in line with the Privacy Policy and Business User Terms. Notice is given in advance of a new sub-processor going live where the change is material.
- Publish — The updated list is published and made available to customers, including on request to compliance@kahunas.io.
4 Customer Objections
Customers who object to a new sub-processor on reasonable data protection grounds may raise the objection with compliance@kahunas.io before the change takes effect. Kahunas will work in good faith to address the concern; where it cannot be resolved, the customer's contractual termination rights under the Business User Terms apply.

Appendix A — Version History
The table below records material changes to the Kahunas Sub-Processor List. Minor editorial corrections and formatting updates are not recorded.
| Version | Effective Date | Summary of Material Changes |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 | 1st July 2026 | First publication of the Kahunas Sub-Processor List. |
| 2.0 | 21 July 2026 | Added GIPHY (in-chat GIF search), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection / CAPTCHA on sign-in and chat), and Typesense (search) to the register to reflect sub-processors already in use in the chat and search features. Also added Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (cookieless product analytics and real-user performance monitoring) in use on the web platform. |
| 2.1 | 17 August 2026 | Added Apple (App Store In-App Purchase) as a payment processor to reflect Apple IAP receipt verification already in use for iOS native app subscriptions, alongside Stripe and PayPal. Removed OpenAI, Cerebras, and Groq, which are not in use. Added DeepSeek to reflect the AI assistant's default inference model (routed via Vercel AI Gateway), which is already live in production. |
| 2.2 | 31 August 2026 | Broadened the GetStream entry's purpose and data categories to also cover Communities — coach-managed group member spaces whose activity feed (posts, comments, reactions) is hosted on Stream Activity Feeds, distinct from the existing coach–client chat use of GetStream. |
| 2.3 | 28 September 2026 | Re-added OpenAI, now in use as the default speech-to-text model (routed via Vercel AI Gateway) for automatic transcription of voice notes in coach–client messaging. Voice-note audio and the resulting transcripts are processed; transcripts are stored on the message in GetStream. |
| 2.4 | 30 September 2026 | Corrected processing regions to reflect confirmed configuration. GetStream: coach–client Chat is hosted in the United States (Ohio) and Communities (Stream Activity Feeds) in the European Union (Dublin, Ireland). Typesense: the search cluster runs across three regions — United Kingdom (London), Australia (Sydney), and India (Mumbai) — for high availability, rather than London only. Databox: United States (AWS US East) rather than United States / EU. SigNoz and OpenReplay: both self-hosted by Kahunas on AWS in the United Kingdom (eu-west-2, London), rather than European Union. No sub-processor added or removed. |
| 2.5 | 2 October 2026 | The DeepSeek entry now states that the DeepSeek model is served by Baseten (United States); DeepSeek requests are restricted to Baseten, and Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd. receives no data. Corrected the Upstash region to United Kingdom (London). |
| 2.6 | 5 October 2026 | Added Cartesia (United States), used to generate optional voice recaps of AI agent (Crew) results for coaches; recap scripts may include client names and coaching facts, and client health facts only where the client's health-data consent is current. Added SerpApi (United States), used by the Crew research agent to run web searches on topics entered by the coach; no client data is sent. |
